In my head, this is the rough draft of my never-going-to-be-written book called The Introverted Perfectionist Woman's Guide To Traveling Abroad On Her Own: You Will Get Catcalled And Forget Vocabulary, So Relax, Have Another Beer, And Bring A Good Book.

Intermittent travel journal of an occasionally-itinerant thirtysomething. Lover of road trips, slow travel, and trip-planning. Travel style somewhere between hostels, Holiday Inns, and high-end hotels. Learning to Travel Like A Grown-Up (i.e. cheapest is not always the best option) while not insulating myself in the familiar. Fond of guest houses and small, quirky hotels. Probably contains more restaurant and food recaps than descriptions of Locations of Cultural and Historical Import.

I firmly believe that the Kindle and other e-readers are the greatest travel device ever invented. Cuts my luggage in half.
